FAQs
-
Prior to your initial appointment you will be emailed an online form to complete. This collects details about your injury and medical history. Completing the form before your session is important; it saves time and allows the therapist to focus on a thorough examination, hands-on treatment and a tailored exercise plan during the appointment.
Initial physiotherapy sessions are 60 minutes long. This is longer than at most clinics because a comprehensive assessment and clear treatment plan are essential for effective rehabilitation and faster recovery. During this session you can expect:
A detailed review of your medical and injury history (using the information you provided)
A full physical assessment to identify contributing factors and movement impairments
Hands-on treatment as appropriate (manual therapy, soft tissue work, or modalities)
An individualised exercise prescription and guidance on progressions
Discussion of short- and long-term goals and a clear plan for follow-up care
Please arrive on time and complete the online form beforehand so we can make the most of your initial appointment.
-
After each physiotherapy session a receipt is emailed to you, if requested. You can submit these receipts to your health insurance provider or claim them as medical expenses on your income tax return. As a CORU‑registered physiotherapist, treatments may be covered to varying extents depending on your policy and level of cover. Common insurers that provide physiotherapy cover include Aviva, Laya, Irish Life Health and VHI.
